Mike has over 39 years experience working in the food industry in the UK, Europe, USA & the Middle East. During that time, he has encompassed several different functions ranging from R. & D. & QA, initially, to operations and factory management over the following 20 years. He gained extensive experience with multinational companies such as Unilever, IFFCO & Croda International as well as medium-sized companies in the UK & Middle East.
After moving to the US in 2000, he has now been running LipoLogic Consultancy for the last 15 years. In the past 13 years, he has worked in close collaboration with TMCI Chemtech, acting as their Technical Consultant on the East Coast of the US and also carrying out projects both for, and on behalf of, Chemtech in a number of countries in Europe, Asia, South America and the Middle East, as well as here in the US.
In this time, Mike has also carried out consultancy work for several major US companies, including Kelloggs, General Mills, Sara Lee, Loders Croklaan, Schwans Inc. and Spectrum Organics, and several international companies, including IFFCO and AB Mauri.
Recently, Mike acted as Technical Director on a consultancy basis for C.F. Sauer Foods between 2007-2011. C.F. Sauer Foods are a major manufacturer of margarines, spreads, butter blends, mayonnaise, sauces & dressings with plants in the South East, the North East & the Mid West. Since 2011, Mike has been carrying out a similar role for a major multinational oils and fats company based in the US.
Due to Mike's extensive network of contacts in the industry throughout the world, he has been able to assist clients with the recruitment of suitable personnel for key managerial and scientific positions.

"Mike Willson worked with us during the period 1996 to 2000. He was the Plant Manager for our Margarine Plant based in the UAE. He was responsible for Manufacturing Operations including Production Planning, Production, Quality Assurance, Product Development and Technical Sales Support. Mike set up the Plant from ground up to a Capacity of 60,000 MT per annum and for the production of full range of products like Margarine, Spreads, Butter Blends, Butter Replacers, Industrial Shortening, Cream Fats and Frying Fats. He was also responsible for implementing Quality Systems, enhancing line capacities, specifying equipment and process innovation. Mike actively trained employees in Oils & Fats Science, Process Technology, Quality Assurance and Production, Hygiene & Safety protocols. He successfully collaborated with Sales Managers in developing new customers and markets.
As well as these significant contributions, Mike was held in the highest esteem by his colleagues."
